started the fugitive late last night or this morning after new year's midnight so i didn't finish it but it's a great new years eve movie and i hadn't seen it for a while and will maybe finish later tonight also started eraserhead and modern times neither of which i've seen before
Nuremberg was essentially unwatchable. cant believe they got all that talent into a production with a script so fucking flimsy and proceeded to fart on their shit

Modern Times is a good one. The Kid is also great. City Lights is my favorite.
Timmy-tim is so good in this that it will convince the goyim that my people are not only very good at controlling the media and the world's money supply, but also at playing ping-pong.
Oscar contender for sure.
Predator: Badlands
Predator is now cute and is the good guy. Dear Christ, make it stop.
I liked it a lot, thought it was good. Personally, I was not sexually attracted to the predator and I don't think that the creator intended for me to be.
You are so superficial and hung up on looks. He's young. Fit as fuck. He just lost someone near and dear to him, and his dad is a real asshole. He shows just enough vulnerability about it without being a boy bitch. He'S got that badbboy thing that make my balls so wet.
Total hottie. King could split me.
He's fire and that is why Elle Fanning wants to fuck him.
Edgar Wright turns the most dangerous game into something boring. Human/Capybara hybrid Glen Powell's attempt at acting is laughable. It's like going to see a fun work friend attempt a tight-five at your local Chucklehut's Open Mic night. It's painful at times. But a great lesson on how little one can go on charm and charisma alone. To succeed, you need material too. And this intellectual property deadline obligated cinematic oeuvre offers none.
Glen Powell is going for some Ryan Reynolds nod-to-the-audience thing, and it just feels gauche and forced. And yet, you want the guy to be good, for he's like a lab-made movie star. He's got that punim! In the end, one looks back on his performance thinking "Bless his heart for trying". He swings hard, but too hard. That scene on that plane is... well, ouch. It's a lot of not good thrown at your face. And with everything happening in the world, who needs that? Dude just can't act, and when he tries, it's just... so Wiseau.
The plot is gruyèresque. The setting is a manhunt across the USA, but the bad guys are always mere seconds away. It's insulting. IT's a series of set pieces centred around Wright's love for the action1, action 2, boss scene X 3 format. But with so very little effort in setting anything up, you ask yourself: "What's the point?"
Josh Brolin does his absolute best at emulating modern-day Steven Seagal by sitting down for most of the movie. Fascinating action movie acting display from Thanos/Cable. But I must say, his skin? For a man his age? Flawless.
Lee Pace is in this too and delivers the very strict minimum. They had to fuck up his face for the role, and apparently, he did not get the memo that only Brolin gets to have amazing skin. He does not want to be in this. He does not give a fuck about this movie.
bond fans can correct me on anything i get wrong but i believe sean connery had already retired from being bond but was called back for this one, i was going to say because on her majesty's secret service was received poorly but that can't be the reason because i just googled and all the roger moore ones came out between then and this one so i have no clue i do know certain thngs were copyright protected for example they never play the bond theme music or have an opening gun barrel walk across scene in this one or psychadelic opening credits or anything like that they play the theme song at the end
anyway it was p fun and ridiculous, it starts with m being mad that bond leads an unhealthy lifestyle so he gets sent to a wellness spa to detoxify and get rid of free radicals lmao
great characters throughout, great sets, a ridiculous video game that electrocutes you 1v1 scene with the main bad guy in a casino that is mostly videogames, a fantastic scene with sharks, kim basinger and rowan atkinson are both in it as well
it goes by p quick for a 2+ hour movie
all the bond movies were added to crave tv recently so i guess the next one i will watch is on her majesty's secret service or one of the 80s one's with timothy dalton or start at the beginning

Connery was the best Bond, but Roger Moore was my favorite. I think just because he's what I grew up with. Plus the humor.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service is better than it's reputation. I think the main thing that makes a good bond movie is a good villain, and telly savalas made a great bond villain.
I was wondering who had the most film credits and wiki said ..
Eric Anthony Roberts (born April 18, 1956) is an American actor.[1][2] He has amassed more than 700 credits and is one of the most prolific English-speaking screen actors,[3][4][5] acting in 74 films in 2017 alone.[5]
i still haven't finished 28 years later, even tho i liked as much i saw -
double team (1997) starring van damme and dennis rodman
are you serious??! amazing action scenes, absolutely ridiculous dialogue and plot and i enjoyed it all a lot i forget van damme was the real deal back in the 80s 90s but haven't really seen a lot of his work; i think tony jaa for sure was inspired by van damme's style and technique one scene has him toe to toe with a legit hong kong martial artist and he's right at home and more than capable there is some really solid cinematography throughout as well as elaborately camp 90's sets and technology
i think everyone had assumed as written fate it would be awful, and i can understand critics felt they had to give it poor reviews when it came out, but i think the people who made it, made it with care and great attention to the details that they wanted attention to, and because of this it really is an excellent no brainer action movie

Knock Off (1997) starring Jean-Claude Camille François Van Varenberg and Sir Rob Schneider
JCVD explores the internal conflict between independence and dependence, or the act of defining oneself amid societal pressures. It explores whether life has an objective meaning or if individuals must create their own purpose.
Just kidding, it's an action movie about counterfeit jeans. The title refers to counterfeit jeans and assassinations. So you know it's good.
Haven't watched this in a while and it is still great. I feel like it even ages well since the older you get you realize how much Scott sucks as a dude which is p great. Also he can't afford an apartment which is very 2020.
How come edgar wright can't pull off a good movie anymore
Not a lot of movies ages well Off the top of my head - True Lies That moment when Roseannes ex-husband says 'that's as firm as a 12 year old boys butt' huh? Also some misogyny there
That was Bill Paxton's character that said the 12-year-old butt thing and he was specifically being shown as a scumbag, as he was trying to bang Arnie's wife (and he gets humiliating comeuppance later). He was a used car salesman as well. I'm not trying to defend the scene and even including that as dialogue is kinda iffy but just providing context.
But you are right that a lot of movies have iffy-at-best situations as time goes on. The movie Porky's (a Canadian classic) is a solid ringer here.
