it has jason lee (banky from all the kevin smith movies) and a lot of other notable actors who tried, but overall i thought maybe there was weak effort on the writing i know i did chuckle at something at least once but yeah overall i thought it was not great tom green is in this and maybe some of you didn't know he and some others made a music video way back in the early 90s in toronto
it's hard to tell who is who but tom green is wearing a bright red or orange jacket seomtimes and ottawa senators hat; he's the second verse in the grocery store
wow i think i need to check the OR i like it so far
One of the funniest bits i remember on old fuzzy blockypixels tv was from a tom green show or maybe a show with Tom Green as the guest. I've never had any luck finding it
and literally i just stopped typing to try one last google attempt at an obscure reference "cover of emaciated man magazine tom green" add turns out it's been sickly man magazine this whole time and my life is an absolute lie
but in my defense he does say the word emaciated i didn't watch past the intro but i had warm and fuzzy memories and I'm sure i was probably freshly stoned at 15 or 16 watching this so fair warning that you might need chemical or herbal or liquid assistance to find the funny if you're old and jaded like me now
it was a really good show when it came out though I may need to rewatch it just to feel something
i wonder if the "where are you going?" segment 2'24 is real, it must be right? but given what we've learned over the years about, not just "reality tv", but also "real tv", that things maybe occured before and after: guy is getting paid or encouraged to be upset at tomgreen, an editor could suggest censoring a face makes it more real etc etc etc like all those youtube videos staged situations to get a specific reaction and emotion, maybe people did that in the 90's to but it didn't occur to the average watcher like myself i guess the best bet is who cares if it is or isn't

i don't understand you
so, i think i need to give this one another watch because this was...frustrating the first time through. i'm not sure if the movie greatly overestimated how endearing/likeable the main characters were or if i was supposed to do what i did, and turn on the "protagonists" more as the movie went on.
yymv, i would absolutely be interested in hearing what anyone else thinks about this one. it's a fun concept: idiot american tourists don't know any italian, and it causes them to bumble through committing murder. they think they're in a horror film, but nobody else does, and it definitely gives tucker and dale vs evil which is a movie i love. the miscommunication theme doesn't just apply to the american/italian language gap, though, because even when we see people talking the same language, they nearly always misunderstand what the other person is saying.
i thought the ending was frustrating, but maybe it's supposed to be? like, i genuinely don't know whether i'm happy with the end result, OR if the movie WANTS me to be happy about it. if the movie is supposed to have a happy/satisfying ending, then it did an AWFUL job of that but if i'm supposed to be annoyed/confused as the credits roll then it did an amazing job of it. just to be clear, that's not sarcasm or faint praise, i genuinely don't know which of those two options it is

Last time I watched it, they showed it at the local theater as a 'flashback cinema' or whatever and got to experience the XL screen and Dolby Octoreo 5D Ultra-Surround
I remember that the always-really-religious-for-some-reason gym teacher / soccer coach turned substitute, showed us Princess Bride and the first Harry Potter movie in class.
He gave us like a trigger warning about witchcraft and sorcery before showing Harry Potter. Like, "I know this is against our many of your religions, but I think this movie has a good message despite the sacrilege."
He was very Lindsey Graham like, like weird white/blond hair, southern belle kinda accent. And, I guess now in retrospect, he and Ted Cruz share the same favorite movie of Princess Bride.
