this can't keep happening
mods please make it so the first post of a new page is deleted and spare us this nonsense
Make it so the first post of a new page quotes the entire last page so we can follow.
Make it so whoever does the first newpage post gets punched in the nuts by their laptop
2 days later bk's nuts just hanging there like a deconstructed beef and cheddar
last post of a page is automatically deleted to prevent some idiot being tempted to reply something dumb and wind up all alone on the next page
and also the arbys nuts thing or whatever
dick like a franchise sandwich
Pineapple Willy would have wanted it this way
This page reads like a ER nightmare
I feel like Gentle Giant Bigsby would disagree.
bruh The Rats: A Witcher Tale on Netflix is one of the most painful movie experiences I've ever had
Someone calls "shotgun" on a cart at the end just to cap off how fucking stupid and awful it is

That's a shame, cause that's a pretty cool part of the Witcher lore. How Ciri gets her face scar, etc.
Also all of us are too old to say bruh on here, bro.

The Island 2005
A group of childlike people are kept hidden in an underground former government facility where they are brainwashed into thinking it's a great thing to go to the island when in reality it's not so great. They're all there because of Uber rich people. Two of them escape. Even though the company has great ties to the department of defence, they go with paramilitary mercs for retrieval.
Directed by Michael Bay

Pandorum seemed to be kind of a very overlooked, underappreciated film when it came out, and although it's still kinda corny, a pretty fun watch. Great set design. Ben Foster is an underrated actor, even in an "in it for the paycheck" role like this.
He sure does fall down a lot in this film
The movie is a less claustrophobic, less cerebral, and less good Event Horizon.

its got a whole lot less event horizon than event horizon does tho, a WHOLE lot less
in fact, the only real similarity is that they are on a ship, right?

Kinda mostly. And that weird shit happens to people. And stasis fuckery. Some of the set design reminded me of Event Horizon, too.
Not a whole lot of deep space horror.
You talking to meep?!
I'm talking about Pandumdum. So I guess yes.
It's pretty stupid, but fun.

I love Pandorum.
To be sure, it has a good deal in common with Event Horizon, the setup, the mission, the themes, the design,
But the departures are also substantial (divergent evolution, crew generation collapse, identity confusion).
Pandorum is about as much a genealogical successor of Event Horizon as Sunshine is, albeit in markedly different directions.

AND THEY ALL OWE A DEBT TO SOLARIS.

Mission was different. EH was a vessel recovery mission. Pandy was going to live on a new planet.
But yeah definitely EH vibes.

I don't think I've watched a Tarkovsky film yet oops lol

Kinda glad I haven't. Feel like I'd appreciate them more now.
Like when I rewatched some Jodorowsky the past couple of years. Very different opinions on them now compared to my 20s/30s.

I been binging the whole Jabroni collection
Been a while since I've seen Holy Mountain n'at.
Saw the one he did with Argento recently. Santa Sangre. It was excellent.

Motherfucker.
what was up with the
(solaris 1979 not really a spoiler)
silent 5 minute cab ride highway montage to the launch site at he beginning of solaris?
and were they russians living in japan??
but overall i thought it was such an intense experience and recommmended it why just last week
also the only tarkovskzy i've seen
some reviews say the george cloon version is smoother and more entertaining and easier to follow but i don't think solaris is supposed to be any of those things

Every time I come upon Solaris in my watchlist I wonder why I haven't watched it yet, then I see the almost 3-hour runtime and don't watch it.
