I've noticed that Americans are keeping a low profile in beach bars today.
I went down to my watering hole and, in a perfect display of Mexican passive aggression, the TVs are showing Caribbean League baseball rather than the football game.
One bar is even catering to Canadians by showing a hockey game.
Dudes in Oakleys are looking distraught. You can almost hear them mutter but...but... the football? The football!?! under their breath. They look completely lost. But they dare not say a thing.
Saw on the TV a quiet gathering of Maduro supporters in Caracas? Not a peep, just a collection of people holding Maduro placards So quiet like they be waiting for the subway to show up

A pill form of weight-loss drug Wegovy, manufactured by Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk, is now available in the U.S., giving Americans access to an oral medication to treat obesity.
The Novo Nordisk pill contains 25 milligrams of semaglutide, the same ingredient in injectables Wegovy and Ozempic. It also has similar side effects as the injectable version of the medication, including nausea and diarrhea, according to Novo Nordisk.

The US is carrying out an operation to seize a tanker linked to Venezuelan oil, an official tells CBS, the BBC's US partner.
Previously named Bella 1, its name has been changed to Marinera and it has also reportedly been reflagged from a Guyanese to a Russian vessel.
Russia has reportedly deployed a submarine and other vessels to escort an oil tanker - which is also being pursued by US forces - across the Atlantic.
The ship, currently between Iceland and the British Isles, has been accused of breaking US sanctions and shipping Iranian oil. It has historically transported Venezuelan crude oil but has reported to be empty at the moment.
Icy conditions are expected to cover Northern Ireland overnight, with a yellow warning in place from midnight until 10:00 GMT tomorrow. Yellow snow and ice warnings in place for Scotland and northern England from 22:00 today until 12:00 tomorrow. The same warning will be in place for northern Scotland from midnight tonight until midnight tomorrow. Snow:

Overall I am in favor of it. I've seen some friends who have struggled their entire lives with obesity and related health concerns, now living much healthier, active, and pain-free lives.
On the other hand, i don't think it's been around long enough to really evaluate the long term side effects, so I've been reluctant to pursue it myself. I dunno. I also recognize that I have a lot of medical anxiety that most other folks don't have.
I thik if you have been struggling with obesitiy, there are uderlying issues that need to be addressed. I say this as a fat lazy old woman who tends to get fat when in a relationship and then down to 120lb when not. Ive been struggling to not only figure out why but to lose weight. Now I have menopause and its even more difficult.
I view it as removing the most generally acute danger to the patient, being obese, after that, they'd generally benefit from some sort of counseling I'm sure.
