We're doing 2 nights in Dublin, then renting a car and going to roscommon, westport, galway 2 nights, then back to dublin for 1.

Dublin is ok. Galway is probably my fave over there.

Now I ain't going haha. Probably Bulgaria instead.

We were gonna only do one night in galway but saw how toight it looks.
We're gonna use it as home base to check out the burren and the cliffs of moher too

Westport looks kinda sleepy but westport and castlebar are where my family hails from so i felt like we should at least see it

Figured those towns must have been ancestor towns haha. Southern Italy is great too. Tralee and Cork. Most beautiful country I've been too so far.

It was really hard to decide because I want to see everything!
It all looks so beautiful and rich in history and folklore.
So we might have to go back another time and do Dingle, Cork and Waterford.
I also want to go to Donegal, and check out Derry/northern Ireland

Was pumped, chicken pumped even, to go to Glasgow. Plans fell through though.

Will be interesting to hear what you think about Dublin. It's still a cool city, but is just the least authentic Irish feeling. Can be very touristy. Also potentially dangerous, so be careful!

I finally got a pepper shaker so I'm gonna try pepper on food for the first time tomorrow.

We will obviously keep vigilant, but we do live in Minneapolis which isn't exactly a shining beacon of safety.

Scary going back now that I haven't lived there in like 12 or 13 years. Feel general dread in cities.

This is kinda a shithole country that feels like its circling the drain.
Theres definitely worse, but theres also many that are better.

I feel like a real change is coming (prob my diap).

Waking up is for the birds

I was meant to spend a day in Dublin on my cruise but some dickweed dropped a mooring line into a running propellor and we ended up missing Dublin.

But I got to visit the Dublin airport at least, during my flight from hell.
Woke up 6/24 6am, Florida.
Left Orlando 11am.
Arrive in Newark, wait for 8pm flight.
Flight delayed repeatedly, and eventually cancelled at 6/25 1am.
Wander around the airport getting our luggage back until 3 or 4. Wait for food shops to open.
Talked to people and got a new flight which doesn't leave until 8pm.
Took a long flight from Newark to Dublin finally but was unable to get even a wink of sleep.
Arrived in Dublin on 6/26 around 9am local time.
I find my gate & then proceed to order 2 Guinness at the nearest bar.
My wife said it was too early to drink. But I've been awake 50 hours at this point. I won.
Got the last Guinness from an old keg and 1st from a new one. Then waited for my plane.
Took a small propellor plane all the way from Dublin to Bergen, Norway.
I was hoping for awesome views but it was just 'us over clouds' the entire time.

Too bad about the clouds.
I bet that wouldve been beautiful otherwise

The fjords in Norway are unbelievable. It's like it's not even real.

The fjords in new zealand are breathtaking.
Haven't been to norway, but I would like to go someday.
