Are tornados in Michigan a new thing? I don't remember hearing about them there when I lived there, or when I lived close in Illinois.
Nope. The first one I was closest to happened when I was visiting here as a kid, not far from where I live now.

The only good thing about staying out in the mojave is that the hotels don't pussyfoot around with eco friendly bullshit AC units. I have have TWO in my room and they are both set to 60

I have been going to bed at 8 and getting up at 4:30 for like years. Get up, go to the gym, get back around 6ish to get the kids ready and get them to school.
Going west is hard for me. I HAVE to stay up late, like 9pm or so, or I'll just wake up at my normal 4:30 central, 2:30 here, so whatever.
Then my flight out is late tomorrow, and I wont land until after midnight back home.
With all this time change messing people up, I wonder if I'll even survive.

I don't have time for that now. I have ate it in the past and have no qualms with Del Teco.
I had my dinner at a bar near my hotel. Had a reuben and fries. They asked if I wanted ketchup and I said yes, and they gave me a little boat thing of 4 ketchup packets. That was it.

When I stayed at a hotel in Mojave (the town) they had tape to tape the bottom of the door so scorpions couldn't get in.
Never once did yhey think maybe make a door or whatever to not let scorpions in.

I was up late in my apartment in El Paso watching TV one night and a scorpion crawled across the carpet right in front of me. Pretty creepy. Made me long for Arkansas cockroaches. Not really tho.
I've been to Arizona at least four times. Passed through Yuma.

When my wife and I lived in the worst places. My wife said the worst thing is that she heard her adorable kitty kill and eat cockroaches all night. CRUCH CRUNCH CRUNCH..
I did a month long training exercise at Fort Irwin (NTC), which is right outside Death Valley, in August, and we were in the field all but a week, and even during that week, we had no housing. Just lived and slept outside. It fuckin sucked.
Arizona honestly didn't feel real when I lived there. Insane people. Ghost towns. Towns stuck in the 50s. Absolutely beautiful landscape though.
Yeah didn't mind that.
