When I was a kid my dad got a little too cocky with the bandsaw and tried to flick away a little cut-off piece of wood next to the blade while it was running and cut off about 3/16" of his fingertip. It's still flat af lmfo.
It was my job to keep the shop clean, and idk how long after, I popped the face off the bandsaw to clean the sawdust out and found his dried-up little fingertip in there with the nail still attached.

It didn't work. I had to bundle it up in a bunch of paper towels and tape, and drive to Walgreens to buy proper supplies.
Took it to my doctor the next day and that weirdo was visibly excited to mess with it. The shits he gave me to numb it might be the most painful things I've experienced.

He sewed it up, I think, then told me he had his own method for healing wounds and it involved "letting them steep in their own juices" and that he had written some kind of scientific paper on it.
He wrapping it up in something to accomplish that and told me it would start to stink in a couple of days and not to worry about it. I asked if he said stinG or stinK to make sure, and he said stink.
