I scooped Ziva upsidedownies for couch snuggles. I was lying down with her on my belly, and I was giving her belly rubs.

I opened my eyes just in time to see a drop of dog drool drip off of her jowels and into my left nostril, whereupon it missed the entirety of my nose and hit the back of my throat.

Hmm. Blows my margins on mobile.

Sandy dislocated a toe yesterday. We take her to the park every morning when dropping the kiddo for school, and she's slowly made friends with the strays that hang around there.

One that has become her best buddy is a younger dog that seems to be about her age, just over a year. Still puppyish and super playful. We call that one Chain. Why, you might ask? Because he has a chain. Around his neck. With about 3-4 feet dragging on the ground behind him. We are using treats to gain his trust so that we can get close enough to cut it off.

Yesterday we went and Chain and Old Man were there. (We think Old Man is Chain's dad.)

Up to now we've kept her on the leash just in case, but today we felt comfortable enough to let her off. Her and Chain started jumping and playing. They were so super crazy excited. Then they took off running. Sandy was ruuuunnning so fast. She went to turn hard and yelped and pulled up. She held up her back leg and limped straight to us on three legs. Her little outside toe was sticking straight out to the side. My wife went to check her leg and accidentally knocked the toe back into joint.

Trip to the vet later and she's on "no play" for two weeks. Poor thing. This is her third or fourth no-play orders since we've had her. Before it was her wound from being spayed. Damn thing took forever to heal and kept opening up,

I have to remember how to use imgur so I can post pictures instead of just telling stories. But I will tell the story later on of how we ended up with her.
