My friends' band Deathropy released their new single "Castle of Decay" and its accompanying music video a couple of weeks ago. They play melodic death metal in the vein of old school In Flames, Soilwork, Arch Enemy and Dark Tranquillity. Their eponymous debut album is available on Spotify and Apple Music, and a new album is coming out next year.

A few weeks ago I was waiting in security for a nuclear power plant. Just me, ran though the metal detectors and what not, waiting for my contact to show up.

The security guard apparently had full control of music in this secure area. He was straight blasting Japanese Girl Scream Metal (as best I can describe). I didn't know that was a genre or a thing. But for over an hour I got to hear it. I was in to it. When I got home I basically googled Girl Japanese Scream Metal and got a few spotify playlists.

I wonder if he does that to have people ask him questions or something? To maybe get to talking and ferret out things? I mean after that, I was escorted by guys with rifles. I assume the music played some part of something.
