I thought I was shit at my job. I just got a promotion and a $5k bonus.
Why do I feel bad about this?

impostor syndrome, probably. just remind yourself that MOST people, particularly the highly-paid ones, are shit at their jobs.

like, i mean, skill is unrelated to compensation. so don't feel bad when you get a raise or pay cut because it likely has no reflection on you :)

speaking of being overpaid, if anyone wants a referral link to handshake ai, shoot me a dm. i've done several projects for them over the last year, and they all pay $65-105/hr
Been working six Saturdays along with my regular M-F since this year began. I think i just did my last. Escalations are the worst work. But light at the end of the tunnel now
Im working from home today as i had a fever last night.
I have an ancient coworker who keeps retiring and then unretiring and she shows up to work high as balls a lot. she took it upon herself to prepare the weekly deposit today even though I do it on fridays and will likely be back in office this friday.
The deposit is for cash and checks in increments of $20 that people submit when they register a domestic partnership.
Today she sent me a teams message saying we were $20 "short", but then also asked if we should mail "the extra $20" back to an applicant who paid twice.
I asked for clarification if we are missing 20 or if we have 20 extra, and she replies with "should i return it to them or will you?"

Got a promotion with a nice raise and now I get to drive a company vehicle home on top of it. It's not a long commute but I spend at least $200 a month in gas at current prices so that's cool.

I have to go talk to a grown ass man about being an idiot and a liar. I've been putting it off for days. Just got all my thoughts organized this morning. Man, I hate this shit.

We know you are more the type to give us all pink eye because of you scratching your dingleberry-ridden crevice all over conference room C.
Apparently my 4 bosses don't like that im only doing 2 people's work instead of 4 people, so I have a predetermination meeting on Tuesday along with HR and my union rep.
My newest boss who started on Wednesday will also be there.
That's where they decide if im going to get punished for failing to meet a deadline because they fired someone else and gave me their leftover work and there was more time sensitive responsibilities than the original project.
I'm not sure what other punishment there is aside from getting fired?
That sounds like fucking bullshit Wait Did your fired predecessor get this same stupid time sensitive project from someone else? Get rid of this grenade before it explodes! Give the work to someone you dont like on Monday!
