if this isn't the insect thread, can we turn off the tooltip on this box that i'm typing in right now? I click into it to type and then leave my mouse there and before long I'm typing into the [Please fill out this field] box which is kind of unhelpful at the best of times

Oddly, after you've hit Preview, that tooltip no longer appears. I guess you know which box to type in if you've already hit Preview?

Is there any chance we can get just slightly fancier javascript that positions the text cursor after using them, and for that matter, the other buttons and ctrl-b and stuff?
I had a lot more written out, but I think it just makes sense to always position the text cursor after the = if you click the Url's [=] or Quote's [=]

my tooltip is only present until I click in the textbox
it will not reappear for me while I'm typing text, or after losing focus after tying for that matter either (which is actually kinda odd)

Thanks.
But now to nitpick further (sorry), I would have expected it to encapsulate the text not the url.

So like you type "This is a link".
You highlight that, hit the = button, and that becomes the text and your cursor is at the = sign as JDH suggest, and then you can paste your link.
If you're doing a straight url (without the equal button) then it makes sense to encapsulate the highlighted as normal... the same behavior should exist with the = button, but instead you're encapsulating the text (just like you would bold or anything else).

I'm on the $49.99/mo. plan and it is terrible.
I don't know what I have to do to get better service.
The cap and t-shirt are fine, but the online experience is troublesome.
