Black mirror Nubbins are neat and all, but why record everything when you could just emulate based on the social media accounts that were scrapped.

dealing with customers in a fast food joint is hell enough, so let's force them to have an AI chatbot living in their skulls.toadylox said:

I'd much rather talk to the AI on the drive-through.
Kinda bugs me now when Taco Bell doesn't have it turned on.
The AI greets me immediately, understands my order immediately without issue, says thank you, etc.
It used to be common practice at fast food drive-throughs for them to greet immediately and take the order.
Then it was greet, but ask for a moment (which is like 2 minutes actually).
Now, it's just 2 minutes of silence, no greeting... I wait because I don't want to bug or annoy... wait... finally give the "Hello?" ... "One second." another few minutes.
Put the robot on please.

Also it used to happen occasionally... but now seemingly every place has you "pull up" so they can game the timer... Pretend they served me while I wait another five minutes for the food I pre-ordered 15+ minutes ago.
Unfortunately AI won't fix that.

I want worse service from people paid more to do less
so much more than I want more AI horseshit in any way.

smart glasses sound kinda dumb to me

this timeline is all jumbled up
id have thought smart glasses would have come before advancements in neural implants for the whole augmentation on our way to the singularity

the problem is that AI (as it stands now at least) is literally incapable of understanding the difference between roleplay and reality.
the solution is that humans need to be more educated about what AI is and does, and can do.
in other words, we're screwed.

But.
They could integrate smart glasses with a detection system for spiderwebs and then highlight them for us in realtime or warn us “yo man, duck”.
Isn’t it all worth it

That's how Claude Code already works for my company.
I can type in /cost and see the bill for my current session.
It roughly makes $15 hour, at least the way I'm using it.
I don't know how much longer they'll need me to drive it, a few years maybe.

I don't think any of us have enough imagination to conceive of how bad things are going to get,
at least until the "reset."
