our old it director that had a 20 year run here had to have things his way no matter how bad of an idea it was. his MO was that any notification or alert, success or failure should be an email. one service was particularly bad. every person responsible for monitoring emails screamed at how unsustainable this was, and the few of us in the IT department had to be on all of them so we could support the users
long story short, when we started exploring moving to O365 from on prem exchange, we found that there was a hard cap inbound email limit of 3600 per user per hour
that was our first hurdle, because we blew that out of the water on a regular basis.

We had a subroutine once that generated email alerts and it worked great until one guy routed back to the step that failed versus continuing to next steps. It failed again and an infinite loop forced us to power off the servers

i dont know what i searched for to get here (health food/diet videos maybe?), but im getting some super annoying YT commercials and i dont know what to do about it
its all the same content, but varying ai voices. some are and old dude, one is a lady, the other is some guy whispering, but they all say
eat this one thing daily to clear out stuck poop... and on and on about stuck poop and its driving me insane
there is another about clearing out common parasites that cause sugar cravings and id be slightly curious if the ads werent so blatantly fake ai shit.
anyway, im off to the store to buy ubiquinol, rosemary oil, and mikes hot honey

There are several others threads I can write this in but I'm writing it here.
Today has been so difficult. I took my mom away for the weekend.
She has been feeling nauseous for a few days which is really concerning to me.
It's concerning because I leave for vacation in a few days.
Right as we were checking out this morning, I received a text from my brother.
He was in ICU. He's been drinking so much that his electrolytes were so out of whack
he couldn't even walk so he called an ambulance for himself.
That was Friday night and he just told us this morning because he had no phone.
They told him if he had not came to the hospital he had about 2 more days before he was dead.
So I checked out and drove me and my mom all the way to the H and then all the way back to her house
and then all the way back home. I've been driving since about 10am.
I just got home.
