I like Dublin.
It's loud and dirty and busy and crazy but its awesome.
We went to the Book of Kells today which was kind of overpriced IMO. Then we bought sweaters. Then my son and I went to the museum to look at the bog bodies and the ancient gold which was neat. Then to St Stephens Green again.

Tomorrow we rent a car and go to Newgrange and the Hill of Tara, and then stay in a shack on a farm somewhere in the middle.

I can't stop eating spice bags.

I love finding notes and treasures in used books.

Once I bought a copy of The Turn of the Screw from a thrift store in St Paul, and inside I found a bookmark from a German bookstore that had closed in the 90s. I found the proprietor's obituary; she sounded like a good person who lived a rich, full life.

I have always thought that it was such a nice thing in such a terrible book. I found it in Blood Meridian. It's not a terrible book, in fact it's a great book, it's just that the subject matter is a bit hard to go along with.

My lower back is feeling iffy today. It'll get thrown out every now and then. I used to just think it's a part of life, just something that happens.

But my younger brother had his back go out and not ever get back in. Had a fauled surgery. Another failed surgery. Then finally a dusion with hardware installed. Man I do not want that .
