Ah. We had them in Seattle.
What Are You Streamin? - the shitty shows thread
Man... I saw a branded one at a trailhead, maybe Silver Falls, maybe not, but it apparently intrigued me enough to look into the etymology and iirc it was a colloquial term that was co-opted as a brand....
yeah honeybuckets and Willy Make Its
We definitely have Honey Buckets.
Once there was one on our block and there was a guy who I think had a knife trying to hide behind it
So I had to be out there keeping watch and telling people like hey fuck off to the next block.

Watched Euphoria 3x1. It's definitely a different show now.
Ep was pretty funny, but real dark. Zendaya is incredible.

I was surprised by ___________'s appearance.
u mudda fukka!!
with each new season of For All Mankind , i try to imagine how someone could write a worse season than the last
this show is a bonafide dumpster fire

I've been wanting to get into For All Mankind because I've heard good things. I'll probably watch it anyway (eventually) but that definitely dampens my motivation to do so. Is it just CW/soap opera "personal drama for the sake of personal drama" or what is the problem?
CW is a pretty good description actually
i vaguely recall the first season being exciting and even dare i say good...
given the premise, it really should be great. I just don't think there's a budget for greatness in such a big scope story
but yeah. A lot of really bad acting and uninteresting side stories drawing too much energy from the plot.
give it a go. i imagine you'll like the first couple seasons at the very least

Having watched more CW shows than I care to admit, I do have a tolerance for that shit and if a 1st-2nd season is good, it can propel me for quite a while. It's a bit further down the queue but I'll push for it eventually. I think it's my turn to pick our show next anyway.
We're currently watching Black Monday and it has been hilarious. I had never heard of it before and neither had my wife but she was listening to a podcast where Paul Scheer was a guest and he said it was his favorite show he's ever worked on.

I would want to watch For All Mankind because of Michael Dorman. Main character in Patriot. I would watch anything that man makes
I really like Joel Kinnaman but I liked him more in Altered Carbon. When they changed the actor I stopped watching. He was good and I liked his little backack.
Joel Kinnaman is so good and he absolutely killed in Altered Carbon.
And yeah Anthony Mackie was not nearly as good. A shame.
Could have been worse, I guess.
Could have been Sam Worthington, the worst to ever do it.

i liked JK a lot in The Killing
and ever since then i have hated him more and more
and i think i can blame For All Mankind
he sucks in it so bad

He was so good in The Killing but yeah I think he peaked there.
I haven't seen, or heard of until now, For All Mankind.
Rooster

Started watching Community for the first time.
About 13 episodes into it. It's mostly decent.
The lead guy and girl can both get in the bin.
I think I heard it gets better in later seasons,
so I'm looking forward to that.

Scrubs Reboot
First episode was awkward with the transition from previous series and introducing new characters and arcs
But it hits its stride and it feels like the pacing and hits like it used to decades ago updated with DEI of course

i rewatched it recently
i thought it has a decent number of really clever and p funny jokes and set ups and originality and nice moments, but also annoying sometimes or annoyingly cynical or just too much "look at me" sometimes i dunno how to describe it
after season 1 britta actually just keeps getting better and better everyone else stays the same
oma famously doesn't like this show
i think now it probably feels very 2010, but some of the episodes, at least from what i recall, i think are pretty timeless.
it's also very dan harmon so you have to... be okay with that.
it makes sense that it isn't for everyone. i love it though.

yeah back when it was airing on nbc alongside the office and parks and rec, of the three it was usually the one that got the most laughs out loud from me
lot of gold written into it and the creativity was top notch

Yeah there are usually one or two jokes that land per ep right now.
There was the one where the jock guy kept wanting to fight Jeff
and he was like "if he doesn't show we're going to Applebee's because I have to get into a fight today" or something like that.
Made me lol.
Abed and Childish Gambino and the Spanish Teacher are all my faves so far.
Euphoria (the golden years)
Boy, does it try
Boy, does it fail.
It's written by humans, acted by humans, shot by humans.
But it feels like it was directed by AI.

i watched the first episode of euphoria because i heard it was so good
it was one of those experiences where i got all the way to the end of the first episode
and realized i didn't give two shits about any of the characters or what happened to them in the rest of the series.

to be fair, i had the same experience with schitt's creek the first time i tried
and it took me until the second season before i found any of them even remotely tolerable
but now it's a solid favorite, even the first season
so i guess i'm saying ignore my last post?

Community was a long time ago, but I remember the paintball episode.
i watched Euphoria when it was called Degrassi and it sucked back then too
is euphoria still the "sydney sweeneys boobs and spidermans strung out gf show" show?
cool
i probably still won’t watch it
i probably still won’t watch it
I wouldn't. It's too late for me now.
just let me know how the boobs are
Just caught up on Shrinking (Apple TV), now killing some time watching The Studio (same).
Shrinking was great. Being predictable (or at least unsurprising) is in no way a point against it. Everything about it is wonderful.

I think I watched the first three or four episodes of Euphoria?
The last thing I remember was a kid hunkered down in a bathtub with a gun.
But almost right away I was like oh okay, so nothing is going to be good or hopeful.
Anyway congrats to Mr Levinson for making something even Alanna Ubach can't make me watch.

so youve watched the whole series till this year
I truly have no idea.
Finished up Haha, You Clowns (eps 7-10).
7 (hot tub) was probably the funniest of the series.
