I've left it out there the whole time, for a few days on top of the bin, then on a big rock. Nothing, not even ants, disturbed it until yesterday or today. It was almost gone, and there were acorn shell pieces around it. I guess maybe a squirrel got into it. It had also been rained on. The tiniest ants were taking care of the remnants.
