Ely has been working her butt off and said that she needs to have a "True Friday", since Friday is the only day where she can escape church business.
So we had a lazy morning and took the boys out, walked the Panhandle, into Golden Gate Park, the Music Concourse, Heroes Grove, and up to the Rose Garden, and then made our way back. About seven miles all told, which is a lot for two little Chihuahua mixes, but they had fun about it.

Yesterday was a sports day. Bay FC vs Gotham FC (soccer) in the morning (Bay FC does not look good, sorry), NY Sirens vs Boston Fleet at noon (hockey), and we walked to USF to watch the Dons beat U Pacific while keeping an eye on the Giants-Marlins (baseball), then stopped at the new brewpub to watch the Valkyries beat Seattle Storm (basketball) and then Vancouver upsetting the Minnesota Frost (hockey) which honestly I couldn't be mad about.
Honestly the highlight was when I looked at the menus and saw garlic rice and under "Salads" it said pancit and "Appetizers" had lumpia and "Desserts" had ube flan and I was like oh you PINOY pinoy.

So it's been a good weekend.

Yeah, I was like hell yeah except I don't really so it was more just fun to see. Ube was standard at McDonald's in Beijing which is I think the last time I had it.
McD's in China is like an Operation, they take that shit serious.

Anyway Ely is serving this morning but I stayed home so I have to think of something nice to do for her when she gets back.

They definitely do McD's better in Asia. I lived in Japan for a while, and they were always having special menu items. It was clean, which is a nice touch.

Planning dinner, trying to work out something like chile verde chicken and greens over rice.

Just booked my Germany trip to watch the Detroit Lions play in Munich.

Landing in Munich Nov 13th and coming home from Prague Nov 21st
Game will be on the 15th.

Haven't been over that ocean since watching the Lions in London in 2015.

Munich and Prague. Two of my faves. That's Europe done right. When you switch trains at Schwandorf, leave the station, it's a lovely little town worth exploring.

Riga in 2 weeks, and currently booking my summer trips. Scotland for 2 weeks. Going to Edinburgh, then up to Inverness to see Loch Ness, then to Elgin for some distilleries, then to Aberdeen for a couple of days, down to Dundee, then back to Istanbul for a day before I fly to the States for about 4 weeks.

Busy but hopefully a good time.

That sounds like an amazing trip.

I never got invited to Riga. But I met a girl from there once way back like 20-years ago. She didn’t invite me to Riga but invited me to hang out. I went, and she was immediately super clingy in the most annoying way. A friend deftly swept me out with some nonsense excuse.

Later that night, saw her at a bar with another guy bawling her eyes out. And then saw that same scene play out at least four or five more times over the next couple of months. Always saw her with a different dude and crying. Wailing, really. I never tried to find out what her story was. I dodged a bullet there. Yeesh.

But, yeah, I’d go to Riga.
