I put 1/2-20 threads into this dino egg
so that it can become the business end of a transmission shifter
for an in-progress dino car (animatronic dinosaur on an RV chassis).
that's the most painful looking butt plug I've ever seen

I have a pice of metal to bend to make a hanger for a mirror. Got a small, hopefully not useless, brake to do the job. Will make it later today.

Got the new Planer for my birthday the other day and tried it out last night.
NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE
Holy man. My 10 year old Canadian Tire $200 planer was the loudest thing I've ever heard...
When i first turned this one on i was like "Oh, its exactly the same volume as my old planer... well I guess that's just how motors run"
Then i put a piece of wood through and instead of being ear-splittingly loud, the volume simply did not change.
And, the wood comes out at like at least a 320grit finish. It is beautiful
wow they really want you to know it's HELICAL!!11!!¡
the thing is...... that its not truly helical... its what people are really calling "spiral"
Going from Straight Knife to Spiral triples the price and Spiral to True Helical is another tripling... so I'll stick with this
You're all really focusing on the wrong part though haha

That sounds like marketing speak.
If the cutting edge wraps around a cylinder, end to end, it's a helix.

Modeled an under seat subwoofer box based on a couple for sale images and forum descriptions.
It's a four day print (gyroid - 5%) and I would fill the shell full of a PVA/Plaster mixture.
I should probably just buy birch ply and make the box by hand.

I'm sure its only a marginal improvement overall
A spiral around a shaft is a helix.
They're just doing dumb marketing crap.
