am i wrong or do i remember the page number links sitting on top of the format options and below the page's last post?

You're not wrong. I moved them because gobs of little buttons all next to each other.

maybe a horizontal line between them?

test to see if redirect brings me back to this page after posting

It only became apparent on the bog thread when i was at the bottom of a page with high post count

i.e, maybe it's fine as is
